Nets' Trevor Booker: Hauls in 11 boards Friday

Booker provided eight points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 boards, one assist and one block across 25 minutes in a 112-97 loss to the Jazz on Friday.

Analysis:

With starting power forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson playing only 17 minutes and the Nets without their usual backup center in Justin Hamilton (illness), Booker stepped into a sizable role off the bench and was able to turn in quality work on the glass against his former team. Though it doesn't appear he'll regain his starting job in the near future, Booker has found a stable role on the second unit, seeing between 21 and 28 minutes over his last 11 games. He's averaging 11.5 points (on 53.3% shooting from the field), 8.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in that span, numbers that make him worth holding in deeper leagues.
