Wizards officially sign Jennings

The Washington Wizards have made it official, signing free-agent point guard Brandon Jennings after he cleared waivers on Wednesday.

As expected, the Wizards waived guard Danuel House to make room for Jennings.

The 27-year-old, who was waived by the New York Knicks two days ago, will be available - at the earliest - for Friday night's game against the Toronto Raptors. He will earn $1.2 million for the remainder of the season, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

In 58 games with the Knicks this season, Jennings averaged 8.6 points and 4.9 assists, while shooting 38 percent from the field and 34 percent from 3-point range.
