Cavaliers' Deron Williams: Set to make Cavs debut Wednesday

Williams will be available for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. "I'm ready to get out there and play with these guys," Williams said after the Cavs' morning shootaround.

Analysis:

The 32-year-old officially signed with the Cavs on Monday after being waived by the Mavericks over the past weekend, and he figures to immediately slot in as the team's No. 2 point guard behind starter Kyrie Irving, bringing depth to a position that's been a weakness all season for Cleveland. Williams will be tasked with running the second unit, but he'll probably see a decline in overall fantasy value, as he's unlikely to closely approach the 29.3 minutes per game he received with the Mavericks. In order to accommodate the additions of Williams and center Andrew Bogut, who is set to be sign with the team later Wednesday, the Cavaliers are planning to release either Jordan McRae or DeAndre Liggins.
