Wizards' Morris fined $25K for throwing ball into stands

Sam Sharpe / USA TODAY Sports

Washington Wizards power forward Markieff Morris has been fined $25,000 for throwing a ball at the game official and into the stands during Sunday's defeat to the Utah Jazz.

Morris had already been removed from the game prior to the incident after picking up his sixth foul moments earlier.

The 27-year-old wasn't the only Wizards player who was upset with the officiating that night, as John Wall took a shot at the game's referees following the contest.

Morris is in the midst of a strong season with Washington, averaging 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals on 45.5 percent shooting.
