Here is a look at the Squad Up daily NBA fantasy picture for Tuesday, Feb. 28:

Dynamic Duos

  • PG George Hill (61K) & C Rudy Gobert (68K), Jazz (at Thunder): A slow pace of play generally keeps the top Jazz options lower in salary than the other big names. A match against the Thunder further suppresses cost. While not bargains, a healthy Hill and double-double machine Gobert can overcome those odds.
  • PG Kemba Walker (87K) & SG Nicolas Batum (75K), Hornets (at Lakers): The free-falling Hornets can still be worth a look in Squad Up by virtue of their Tuesday opponent. The Lakers have the second most porous defense in the league, paving the way for both Walker and Batum to have big nights. The Lakers are bottom-third in terms of perimeter defense, so another big 3-point night for Walker is incoming.
  • PG Mike Conley (80K) & C Marc Gasol (76K), Grizzlies (vs. Suns): The Suns are not quite as thin as the Lakers on the defensive front, but they did just lose SF P.J. Tucker to trade and they play at a slightly faster pace. Conley is like clockwork, rarely ever putting in a poor opponent. He and Gasol both have steady floors, and Gasol's added 3-point shot should come in handy against the NBA's weakest perimeter defense.

Bargain Plays

  • SG Jamal Murray (28K), Nuggets (at Bulls): Slumping a bit and not getting a consistent workload has stifled Murray's fantasy prospects. His last three have been mediocre-to-poor. And while struggling against Memphis is understandable, barely registering against the Kings is not. The price is still decent should he be able to spread out his production.
  • SF Stanley Johnson (25K), Pistons (vs. Trail Blazers): Like Murray, Johnson's results have been far from prolific and is wholly dependent on him reaching a 20-minute threshold (what a concept!). He still has a low ceiling, but he can typically add a few steals to his production, raising his floor a tad as long as the minutes are there.
  • C Cristiano Felicio (29K), Bulls (vs. Nuggets): Felicio has played 22 or more minutes in four of his last six games, resulting in 10 points twice. It's not a lot to hang your hat on, but as a fill-in near the minimum salary, Felicio will provide a modicum of production with some rebounding upside. The Nuggets are weak in the frontcourt with PF Kenneth Faried ailing, so Felicio's opportunity expands a bit if he plays enough.

Top Fades

  • C Steven Adams (53K), Thunder (vs. Jazz): Don't trust a non-offensive big man against Utah's frontcourt. With Gobert and a seemingly healthy PF Derrick Favors -- not considering the strong defense off the bench -- Adams is a problem in daily lineups. He could still run into some boards and points but it's much riskier.
  • PG Eric Bledsoe (75K), Suns (at Grizzlies): Bledsoe has shown a little bit of everything lately. Against the Bucks, Sunday, he scored 11 points with four rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and two blocks. While nothing was spectacular, the bulk returned value. The Grizzlies will not be as susceptible. He posted 16 empty points, Feb. 8, the last time the teams met.
  • SF Otto Porter (57K), Wizards (vs. Warriors): The Warriors are known for their 3-point shooting, but they also allow the lowest opponent 3-point percentage (.325). Porter's ceiling is reached when he drains bulk threes. He owns the best 3-point shooting percentage in the league, but he hasn't played against the Warriors yet this season. Err on the side of caution.

Contrarian Options

  • PG Stephen Curry (72K), Warriors (at Wizards): Curry went 0-for-11 from 3-point range, Monday. Despite the blip (and that's all it was), he wasn't a total bust as he scored 19 points with four rebounds, six assists, and a pair of steals. His salary is far lower than it should be, but playing the second half of a road back-to-back isn't doing his appeal any favors.
  • PF Derrick Favors (47K), Jazz (at Thunder): Favors has burned those who have trusted him most of the season. An encouraging sign is him playing at least 24 minutes in eight straight and looking sharp in the two games since the break. His salary has dropped enough to be worth rolling the dice in case he finally has his big breakout game.
  • C Tyson Chandler (39K), Suns (at Grizzlies): Chandler carries a lot of risk against the staunch defense in Memphis, especially in the interior. Chandler has also sat out consecutive games at the coach's discretion, with a third potentially on the way. If Chandler starts, take a shot.
