Report: Bogut to speak with Cavs, Spurs, Rockets, Celtics

Andrew Bogut has plenty of options.

The veteran center - who was waived Monday by the Philadelphia 76ers - is now looking to latch on with a playoff contender.

In search of a new squad, Bogut's expected to hold talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Boston Celtics, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

While a report Sunday indicated the 32-year-old will sign with Cleveland, it appears the defending champion has some competition for his services. Bogut, who won a championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2015, appears to have narrowed down his list of teams to the four clubs immediately below the Dubs in the standings.

According to Bobby Marks of The Vertical, a loophole in the CBA would also enable the Aussie to rejoin the Warriors after they moved him last summer to free up cap space to add Kevin Durant. However, Golden State is believed to be picking up point guard Jose Calderon instead.

Philadelphia acquired Bogut from Dallas in a trade deadline-day deal centered around Nerlens Noel after the Mavericks were unable to unload him for picks. The big man was never expected to suit up for the Sixers, and began buyout talks upon joining them.

Bogut can only sign with another squad after clearing waivers on Wednesday, and should be eligible to compete in the postseason. He put up 8.3 rebounds, three points, and 1.9 assists per game with the Mavs this season, but only made 26 appearances.
