Rockets' Patrick Beverley: Will play Monday, despite groin issue

Beverley is nursing a groin injury, but said that he'll play Monday against the Pacers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Beverley was held out of Sunday's practice while tending to tightness in a groin muscle, but his absence was strictly for precautionary purposes. The same injury initially resulted in Beverley being ruled out for the Rockets' last game Saturday against the Timberwolves, but he was able to talk his way into the lineup after warmups and played well, providing 15 points, seven assists, four rebounds, three steals and one block in 29 minutes. Fantasy owners can probably feel comfortable activating him for the upcoming week.
