Timberwolves' Gorgui Dieng: Double-doubles in Saturday shootout

Dieng submitted 16 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block over 36 minutes in Saturday's 142-130 loss to the Rockets.

Analysis:

The fourth-year big man was a distant third behind the prolific Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins on the night, but turned in his best scoring total since Jan. 24. He also hauled in double-digit boards for the third time in the last five games, and has now posted 13 rebounds on three occasions during February. Dieng's offensive contributions continue to fluctuate, but he remains a reliable source of rebounds and steals in all formats.
