Bulls' Nikola Mirotic: Pours in 14 off bench Saturday

Mirotic poured in 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and added 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals over 29 minutes in Saturday's 117-99 win over the Cavaliers.

Analysis:

Mirotic once again outpaced starter Bobby Portis in minutes, and, as he'd done Friday, parlayed the opportunity into an above-average stat line. The third-year big man is primed for extended run now that Taj Gibson is in Oklahoma City, and based on his performance over the first two contests following the latter's departure, he appears highly capable of delivering on his considerable upside. Mirotic has notably averaged a robust 33 minutes over the last two games, an allotment of playing time that's likely to be the norm going forward.
