Celtics' Gerald Green: Out Friday, Sunday with heel injury

Green (heel) isn't traveling with the Celtics and won't play Friday against the Raptors or Sunday against the Pistons, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe reports.

Analysis:

Green injured his right heel in a Feb. 15 game against the 76ers, and though he was able to play through the injury a day later in the team's loss to the Bulls, it appears his condition worsened over the All-Star break. After failing to practice Thursday, the Celtics decided it was best to let Green recover in Boston rather than join the team on their two-game road swing. Green was only averaging 14.6 minutes per game over his previous five appearances, so none of the Celtics' wings figure to gain substantial fantasy value in the short term while he's out.
