Pelicans' Jarrett Jack: Signs 10-day contract with Pelicans

Jack (knee) signed a 10-day contract Friday with the Pelicans, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports.

Analysis:

Jack has been working his way back from ACL surgery and got waived by the Hawks in the process. It was reported in January that the veteran was nearing a return to full strength, and it's likely that he is fully ready to make his return to the floor now. Jack will provide some veteran depth at the point guard position with the team losing both Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway in the trade for DeMarcus Cousins. Jack could potentially compete for the backup point guard role with Tim Frazier over the course of his short-lived contract.
