76ers' Ben Simmons: Foot may still be fractured

Simmons underwent a CT scan Thursday that revealed that he was still dealing with a fractured right foot, but it's unclear whether it's a new fracture or his existing fracture that's showing up on the scans, John Barchard of SportsRadio 94 WIP reports.

Details remain very scarce, but expect coach Brett Brown to provide a formal update on the No. 1 overall pick's condition when the 76ers conclude their morning shootaround Friday. Brown has previously maintained that he expected Simmons to play at some point after the All-Star break, but if this latest report is correct and the rookie's foot hasn't fully healed as the team had hoped, his chances of suiting up in 2016-17 would drastically diminish.
