Warriors' Klay Thompson: Efficient complementary role in Thursday win

Thompson collected 18 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four assists over 31 minutes in Thursday's 123-113 victory over the Clippers.

Analysis:

With teammates Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant combining for 60 points on 31 shot attempts, there wasn't a need for Thompson to be overly involved. He was efficient with the shots he did take, however, continuing his excellent stretch from the field with a sixth straight game of better than 50 percent shooting. Thompson also has drained multiple threes in 18 consecutive contests, and is averaging a monthly-best 27.4 points in February on the strength of respective 53.4 and 53.9 percent success rates from the field and behind the arc.
