Magic's Terrence Ross: Will start at small forward Thursday

Ross will start at small forward for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Ross and a first-round pick were traded to the Magic in exchange for Serge Ibaka just prior to the All-Star break, but Ross was unable to make his debut, which has now been set for Thursday. He'll jump right into the starting lineup and should see a decent uptick in minutes from the 22.4 he averaged in Toronto. Ross could be looking at a 30-plus minute role with his new team, although we should get a better understanding of his workload after he plays a few games. Jeff Green will head to the bench in the corresponding move and could see a decreased role.
