Report: Spurs, Rockets to join Cavs in buyout market for Bogut

Kevin Jairaj / USA TODAY Sports

It appears that Andrew Bogut's days in Philadelphia will be numbered.

After the Sixers were unable to find a trade partner for the 32-year-old, Philadelphia will immediately begin contract buyout discussions for Bogut, ESPN's Marc Stein reports. The Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets are all expected to express interest should Bogut be bought out.

The 7-footer was acquired by the Sixers earlier on Thursday in a trade that sent Nerlens Noel to Dallas.

While Bogut has struggled to stay healthy this season, he remains a strong rim-protector, and could help any team looking to add shot-blocking.

The Australian native averaged three points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and one block in just 26 games for the Mavericks.
