Embiid still trusts the process after Noel trade

For three-plus years, the Philadelphia 76ers have approached roster building with a theretofore unseen measure of patience, and while many players who cycled through the Sixers system during that time got fed up with all the losing and all the waiting, Joel Embiid's faith in The Process has never wavered.

That's still true, it seems, even after Philadelphia dealt Embiid's good friend Nerlens Noel to the Dallas Mavericks for an underwhelming return. Moments after the Noel trade was completed, Embiid reaffirmed his support for the Sixers and their organizational mantra.

He also expressed excitement for Noel, who will get a great opportunity to showcase his ability with an increased role in Dallas, ahead of his restricted free agency this summer.

"I think in Dallas he's going to get the chance to start, and they're going to re-sign him and they're going to pay him a lot of money," Embiid told reporters, according to CSN's Jessica Camerato.

The two also shared a heartfelt goodbye at Sixers shootaround, before Noel decamped for Texas.

With Noel gone, Embiid - who was drafted in 2014 but is officially a rookie - is now the Sixers' longest-tenured player.
