Report: Wolves intent on moving Muhammad for draft pick

The Minnesota Timberwolves are determined to trade forward Shabazz Muhammad, and are hoping to fetch a draft pick in return, NBA.com's David Aldridge reports.

Muhammad, who has served as the Wolves' sixth man the past two seasons, will be a restricted free agent this summer. He's averaging 9.4 points and 2.9 rebounds off the bench this season while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and a career-best 41.4 percent from 3-point range.

The Wolves are also apparently looking to move point guard Ricky Rubio. They're willing to include Muhammad in a package to help grease the wheels for a Rubio trade, Sports Illustrated's Jake Fischer reported earlier Thursday, citing sources.
