Mavericks' J.J. Barea: Will miss next three games

Barea (calf) practiced Wednesday, but has been ruled out for the Mavericks' next three games, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

The team was originally hoping Barea would return for either their second or third game out of the All-Star break, but the veteran guard was still a bit limited while taking part in Wednesday's session, so he'll need some additional time off to recover. With Deron Williams' name popping up in trade rumors as Thursday's deadline approaches, Yogi Ferrell and Devin Harris might be the only active point guards the Mavericks have available over the course of Barea's absence. Barea will now turn his attention to a potential return March 1 against the Hawks.
