Mavericks' A.J. Hammons: Recalled from D-League

Hammons was recalled Wednesday from the D-League's Texas Legends, Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

Hammons hasn't appeared in a game with the Mavericks since Dec. 30 against the Warriors, but he's spent extensive time in the D-League getting the in-game reps he wasn't seeing with the big club. With the trade deadline approaching, the Mavericks are said to be interested in moving Andrew Bogut, but even if that trade materializes, Hammons wouldn't be a safe bet to enter coach Rick Carlisle rotation while Dirk Nowitzki, Salah Mejri and Dwight Powell representing more capable options at center.
