Nuggets' Kenneth Faried: Doubtful for Thursday vs. Kings

Faried (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Kings, Adam Mares of DenverStiffs.com reports.

Analysis:

Faried was held out of the final four games prior to the All-Star break with a sprained ankle and it appears the Nuggets don't want to rush him back into action despite having the last week off for extra rehabilitation. He was able to take part in a full practice Tuesday, so Faried doesn't appear to be far off from a return, which means coach Michael Malone may just be taking a cautious approach with him as the Nuggets head into a back-to-back set. If he's unable to take part in Thursday's game as expected, there's still a chance Faried is cleared in time for Friday's matchup with the Nets.
