Report: Knicks looking for a 1st-round pick for Kyle O'Quinn

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Knicks spoke to a team regarding Kyle O'Quinn and were looking for a first-round pick in exchange for the big man, according to the Daily News' Frank Isola.

If accurate, that may be a big ask on the Knicks' part, given the relatively flat market for centers at the moment. Even a secondary wing player generating interest among teams - such as the Phoenix Suns' P.J. Tucker - may not fetch a first-round selection.

O'Quinn has been a solid player for the Knicks since arriving in 2015, and is averaging 6.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in just over 15 minutes per game this season. The 26-year-old is also one of the few New York City natives currently playing in the NBA.
