Cavaliers' Derrick Williams: 10-day deal with Cavs expires

Williams' 10-day contract with the Cavaliers expired, and the team has yet to make a decision on his future with the team, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Analysis:

The Cavaliers haven't ruled out signing Williams to a second 10-day deal, but with the Thursday trade deadline set to conclude prior to the team's next game, Cleveland likely just wants as much roster flexibility as possible in the short term. All indications are that the Cavs have been impressed by Williams, who has averaged 9.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in four games, so if they fail to acquire multiple players by Thursday, there's a decent chance he'll be re-signed.
