Kings' Arron Afflalo: Fully participates in practice Tuesday

Afflalo (hamstring) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice and is expected to play Thursday against the Nuggets, James Ham of CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

Afflalo was removed from the Kings' final game before the All-Star break Feb. 15 against the Warriors after dealing with stiffness in his right hamstring, but the issue was never considered serious. Now that he's practiced without incident, Afflalo doesn't seem at any risk of missing Thursday's game, but his already weak fantasy outlook has taken a hit with the Kings acquiring three guards (Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway) in exchange for DeMarcus Cousins earlier in the week. Hield is considered the only long-term asset of the lot, but his presence along with the Kings' wealth of wing options could nonetheless harm Afflalo's minutes and hold on a starting role. In order to address the abundance of players on the wing, coach Dave Joerger hasn't ruled out the possibility of Afflalo or Ben McLemore playing some small-ball power forward, according to Ham, a position neither has manned before at the NBA level.
