Nuggets' Emmanuel Mudiay: Takes part in full practice Tuesday

Mudiay (back) took part in a full practice Tuesday and will be available for Thursday's game against the Kings, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.

Analysis:

Mudiay has been sidelined for 11 of the Nuggets' last 14 games due to back spasms, but he was close to returning to action in the final week before the All-Star break. With an additional week to recover, Mudiay looks to be in fine shape heading into the second half of the season, but it's unknown when or if the point guard will reclaim a starting role back from Jameer Nelson. Mudiay came off the bench in each of his last three appearances and has seemingly demonstrated limited improvement from his inefficient, turnover-prone rookie season. In 44 appearances in 2016-17, Mudiay is averaging 11.8 points, 4.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 three-pointers in 28.1 minutes per game and is shooting an abysmal 36.9 percent from the floor.
