Pelicans' Langston Galloway: Headed to California's capital city

Galloway was traded to the Kings on Sunday along with Tyreke Evans, Hield and 2017 first- and second-round picks in exchange for DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi (foot), Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Galloway had been serving as the Pelicans' fifth guard of late behind Jrue Holiday, E'Twaun Moore, Buddy Hield and Tyreke Evans, and finding a pathway to playing time won't get much easier in Sacramento, where he'll be joined by Hield and Evans. Along with those two, the Kings also have Darren Collison, Garrett Temple (hamstring), Ben McLemore, Arron Afflalo (hamstring), Ty Lawson (leg) and Malachi Richardson (hamstring) on hand in the backcourt, and even with all those injuries, it's difficult to see a way in which Galloway sees ample court time. Galloway probably wasn't owned in most fantasy leagues to begin with after averaging 8.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers and 1.2 assists in 20.4 minutes per game over 55 appearances with the Pelicans.
