Porzingis out with swollen ankle

New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis will be out for a few days after tweaking his right ankle during Thursday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Tests revealed no ligament damage in Porzingis' ankle, according to Wojnarowksi, but the swelling will keep him out of action Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers and likely Monday against the Toronto Raptors, for a start.

Porzingis rolled his ankle when he stepped on teammate Willy Hernangomez's foot in the second quarter Thursday. He was forced to leave the game, and did not return.

The 21-year-old is averaging 18.1 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in his second NBA season. The Knicks are 2-6 this year in games he's missed.
