76ers' Robert Covington: Feels fine after head injury

Covington (head) appears to have avoided a concussion and doesn't expect to miss any time, Jessica Camerato of CSN Philadelphia reports. "I'll be fine," Covington said in regards to the injury. "I didn't feel a concussion. I know what that feeling has felt like before. I'm alright."

Analysis:

Covington was pulled late in the fourth quarter from Wednesday's loss to the Celtics after hitting his head against one of the chairs on Boston's bench. He claims he didn't have a temporary blackout or feel any dizziness, so it sounds like he's merely dealing with a bruise. With the 76ers now on break for All-Star weekend, Covington will have over a week off until the team is back on the schedule Feb. 24 against the Wizards, so he's fully expected to take on his usual minutes in that contest.
