Spurs' Dewayne Dedmon: Claims double-double against former team

Dedmon finished with 10 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one block across 29 minutes in a 107-79 win over the Magic on Wednesday.

Analysis:

Dedmon rose to the occasion against his former team, claiming his fourth double-double in eight February games while providing his typically efficient shooting from the field. The 27-year-old seems to have surpassed David Lee as the Spurs' preferred center option while Pau Gasol has been out since late January with a broken finger, but Dedmon's run with the top unit could soon come to an end. Gasol is believed to be progressing well from the injury and could be available shortly after the Spurs return from the All-Star break, which would likely result in Dedmon's minutes taking a decent hit.
