Heat's Tyler Johnson: Scores 16 off the bench in victory

Johnson notched 16 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds and four assists over 33 minutes in Wednesday's 117-109 win over the Rockets.

Analysis:

With Josh Richardson (foot) sidelined, Coach Erik Spoelstra started Luke Babbitt in the 4 slot and shifted Rodney McGruder to small forward, but it became obvious early on in Wednesday's game that Johnson's skill set was a better fit against the Rockets. When Johnson gets playing time, he almost always posts a solid stat line as he's a smart shooter and a capable rebounder, but he's in a crowded rotation that limits his productivity. Fortunately, Johnson has the necessarily skills to man the point as well as see some time at small forward, which makes him a valuable utility man for the Heat. He can be of some value in deeper leagues.
