Nuggets' Emmanuel Mudiay: Out Wednesday vs. Timberwolves

Mudiay (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

The Nuggets had previously labeled Mudiay as questionable with back spasms, but it was determined after the team's morning shootaround that the point guard wasn't ready to play in the final contest before the All-Star break. Mudiay will now have a week to rest up and recuperate from the injury, with coach Michael Malone indicating that Mudiay would likely be held out of Friday's Rising Stars Challenge. Jameer Nelson will make another start Wednesday and should be in line for a sizable workload.
