Pelicans' Terrence Jones: Ruled out Wednesday vs. Grizzlies

Jones (thumb) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies.

Analysis:

Jones has already missed the last three games with a sprained right thumb, and with Wednesday's contest marking the team's last game prior to the All-Star break, the Pelicans will hold the big man out in order to give him more extended time off to heal. With Dante Cunningham (personal) also ruled out, Alexis Ajinca could be in line to draw a second straight start, while Donatas Motiejunas could pick up some extra minutes off the bench. Jones will have just over a week off before the Pelicans' next contest Feb. 23 against the Rockets.
