LeBron, Griffin named NBA Players of the Week

USA Today Sports

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James and Los Angeles Clippers big man Blake Griffin have been named the NBA Players of the Week for games played from Feb. 6-12, the league announced Monday.

James put up 25.5 points, 11.3 assists, and 5.8 boards over the week, leading the defending champs to a 3-1 record. The East winner notched a career-high 17 assists and hit an incredible fadeaway 3-pointer to send Monday's contest in Washington into overtime, where the Cavs took care of business in one of the most entertaining games of the year.

The superstar was efficient, as well, shooting 58 percent from the field and 60 percent from beyond the arc.
