Cavaliers' Kevin Love: Will seek second opinion on left knee

Love will receive a second opinion Tuesday on his sore left knee, The Associated Press reports.

Analysis:

Love will remain in Cleveland while the Cavaliers head to Minneapolis for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, and it seems rather likely he'll sit out when the team returns home to face the Pacers on Wednesday in the final game before the All-Star break. While the 28-year-old underwent an MRI following Saturday's win over the Nuggets, the Cavaliers have yet to reveal the results of those scans, and the fact that he's seeking a second opinion suggests that Love may have received some discouraging news. Channing Frye is set to start at power forward Tuesday, but he, Richard Jefferson and Derrick Williams would likely all benefit from increased minutes for as long as Love is held out.
