Bulls' Nikola Mirotic: Sits out practice Monday

Mirotic (back) didn't participate in Monday's practice, Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago reports.

Analysis:

Mirotic was held out of action in Sunday's loss to the Timberwolves due to back spasms, and he's still dealing with the injury as of Monday. The situation doesn't bode well for his status heading into Tuesday's game against the Raptors, but the Bulls will wait until shootaround Tuesday morning to update Mirotic's status. Bobby Portis absorbed most of Mirotic's playing time Sunday, putting up 16 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and six rebounds in 31 minutes.
