Mavericks' Deron Williams: Will remain out Thursday vs. Jazz
Williams (toe) will sit out Thursday's game against the Jazz, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis:
It's the eighth straight absence for Williams, who can't shake a lingering big toe sprain on his left foot. Coach Rick Carlise previously mentioned that Williams could be sidelined through the All-Star break, but the point guard will be evaluated on a game-to-game basis in the meantime. Look for undrafted rookie Yogi Ferrell to start at point guard for the duration of Williams' absence.
