Knicks' Derrick Rose: Expects to play Monday vs. Lakers

Rose (ankle) is expected to play in Monday's game against the Lakers, Ian Begley of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Rose has missed each of the last four games with a sprained left ankle, but he reportedly looked good while logging a full practice Sunday, so he's trending toward availability. Look for the Knicks to update his status following Monday's morning shootaround, but assuming Rose is cleared to play, he'll take back his spot in the starting five and push Brandon Jennings back to the bench. Jennings has averaged 17.0 points (on 34.5% shooting), 8.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers and 3.0 steals in 44.0 minutes per game over the last four contests.
