Lakers' Julius Randle: Will be available to play Monday

Randle (illness) was a full participant in Sunday's practice and will be available to play Monday against the Knicks, although his role has yet to be determined.

Analysis:

Randle has been available in both of the Lakers' last two contests following a case of pneumonia, but only played six minutes off the bench in Thursday's loss to the Wizards before failing to log any action in Friday's loss to the Celtics. It appears that Randle has since regained some strength, and his full participation in Sunday's practice suggests the big man should see a more sizable workload Monday, though it's uncertain if he'll continue to come off the bench or take back his normal starting role. Either way, Tarik Black and Larry Nance both seem likely to lose out on playing time now that Randle is ready to take on a larger role in the frontcourt rotation.
