Nuggets' Danilo Gallinari: MRI results negative Thursday

The MRI on Gallinari's left groin strain came back negative, but he'll sit out Friday's game against the Bucks, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Though he'll be forced to miss at least one game with the groin injury, Gallinari indicated he expects to return "soon," so for the time being, it appears the Nuggets are only bracing for a short-term absence for their starting small forward. Wilson Chandler and Juan Hernangomez stand to pick up more playing time at the position while Gallinari is out, with the former likely making for a more appealing DFS target than the latter Friday.
