Bucks' Roy Hibbert: Traded to Milwaukee

Hibbert and Spencer Hawes were traded to the Bucks on Thursday in exchange for Miles Plumlee, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

After starting the season as Cody Zeller's backup at center, Hibbert appeared to have been jumped by Spencer Hawes in the pecking order, as Hawes has seen the larger minutes load with Zeller missing time with a quad injury of late. The trade won't necessarily help Hibbert's cause, as in addition to being joined by Hawes in Milwaukee, he'll face a bigger crowd at center with the Bucks still having Greg Monroe, John Henson and Thon Maker on hand. Hibbert and Henson in particular offer similar skill sets, and with Hibbert set to become a free agent next summer, the team may have little incentive to invest big minutes in the veteran.
