Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Double-doubles in return from three-game absence
Russell (calf) recorded 22 points (7-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 10 assists, seven rebounds, one steal and one block across 34 minutes during a 120-116 win over the Nuggets on Tuesday.
Analysis:
The 10 assists were a career high for Russell, whose return from a three-game absence due to a bone bruise on his knee along with a calf strain was probably better than most fantasy owners were counting on. Shooting still remains an issue, however, for Russell, who wasn't all that accurate from the field Tuesday and has converted 39.6 percent of his attempts on the season. If he can continue to produce all-around numbers like this though, his owners won't have too many complaints.
