Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Cleared to play Tuesday vs. Nuggets

Russell (calf, knee) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's game against the Nuggets, but the Lakers will wait until after their morning shootaround before making a formal ruling on his status, Serena Winters of LakersNation.com reports.

Analysis:

After missing the Lakers' last three games, Russell participated fully in practices Sunday and Monday, suggesting that he's on track to play Tuesday. If Russell's calf and knee respond well to the workout Tuesday morning, he should take back his regular spot in the starting lineup, pushing Jose Calderon to the bench and perhaps out of the rotation. Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams could also lose some minutes if Russell plays Tuesday.
