Report: Bosh ignoring calls from union, undecided on comeback

It's unclear whether Chris Bosh will ultimately attempt another NBA comeback following repeated episodes of blood clotting.

The future Hall of Fame power forward has no current plan to play this season, and remains unsure if he even wants to return to the court at all, sources told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Jackson also noted that while Bosh sought out the NBPA for assistance last season, there has been no such push this time around. He hasn't even returned several check-in phone calls from the union.

The Chicago Bulls are reportedly interested should Bosh attempt another comeback, and Jackson said that the notion of reuniting with a fellow member of the "Big Three" - in Dwyane Wade - would "appeal" to Bosh.

Meanwhile, a decision is looming for the Miami Heat on Feb. 9, which marks the one-year anniversary of Bosh's last game. The team can apply for Bosh to medically retire, and then remove him from its salary cap sheet (while still paying his contract) should an independent panel of doctors deem Bosh's condition to be life-threatening.

However, should Bosh sign elsewhere after getting released by the Heat and make 25 appearances before season's end, his salary would go back on Miami's books. The Heat may look to delay Bosh's release to a later date to avoid the mark.
