Clippers' Blake Griffin: Out Monday, likely to play Tuesday vs. 76ers

Griffin (knee), who has already been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hawks, will likely play on Tuesday against the 76ers, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Griffin is reportedly at full strength following a 17-game absence due to arthroscopic right knee surgery, as he was able to resume full-contact practice over the weekend. The Clippers will hold him out of the front end of the back-to-back set as a means of easing him back in, but he should reclaim a starting role Tuesday, assuming he endures no late setbacks with the knee. Griffin's eventual return should translate in a downturn in playing time for Raymond Felton, Marreese Speights and Brandon Bass, as the Clippers go with a shorter bench and fewer three-guard lineups.
