The Toronto Raptors are hurting.

The team announced Monday shooting guard DeMar DeRozan will miss the next two games with a right ankle sprain and will reevaluated at week's end.

After being the only Raptor to suit up in every game this season, DeRozan suffered the ailment in Sunday's loss to the Phoenix Suns. He's been ruled out of the team's upcoming back-to-back set, with Toronto hosting the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday before heading to Memphis to face the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

This injury comes at a bad time for the Raps, who are mired in a three-game losing skid and at risk of falling below the No. 2 seed for the first time all season, with the Boston Celtics suddenly just 1.5 games back.

Deebo leads the club with a career-high 27.9 points to go along with 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per outing. He was named an All-Star starter last week, and hasn't missed time yet this season.

Injuries have been piling up lately for Toronto, with Patrick Patterson, Lucas Nogueira, DeMarre Carroll, and Jared Sullinger all spending some time on the sidelines. The Raptors are now fifth in the NBA in games missed due to injury.

Terrence Ross and Norman Powell are expected to pick up extra minutes at the two-spot in DeRozan's absence.
