Raptors' DeMar DeRozan: Will miss next two games

DeRozan (ankle) won't play Tuesday against the Spurs or Wednesday against the Grizzlies.

Analysis:

DeRozan sprained his right ankle late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Suns, and after failing to return from the injury, team doctors determined that he would need to miss his first games of the season. The All-Star shooting guard will be reevaluated at the end of the week, at which point the Raptors should have a better idea of his status for Friday's game against the Bucks. In the meantime, look for Terrence Ross, Cory Joseph and Norman Powell to take on larger roles in the Raptors backcourt, with Powell the most likely of those three to enter the starting five in DeRozan's stead.
