Spurs' Pau Gasol: Out Thursday vs. Nuggets with fractured finger
Gasol was diagnosed with a fractured fourth metacarpal of his left hand and is without a timetable for a return, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Analysis:
The Spurs made Gasol a surprising scratch from their starting five Thursday against the Nuggets after he hurt the finger during warmups, and team doctors quickly determined he was dealing with what appears to be a significant injury. A more concrete timetable should be fleshed out once Gasol undergoes a follow-up MRI, but he'll be sidelined for at least all of Thursday's game, and likely for a few contests to follow. David Lee, who started at center in Gasol's place Thursday, will be the main beneficiary from a fantasy standpoint, but Dewayne Dedmon should also see a spike in playing time while Gasol is out.
