Nets' Jeremy Lin: Expects to miss another one-to-two weeks

Lin (hamstring) is fully expected to miss at least a few more games beyond Thursday's tilt with the Pelicans, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports. "It's hard to judge. Hope to come back playing within one, a couple of weeks," Lin said. "But I'm not sure."

Analysis:

In a recent interview with a Chinese cable station, Lin mentioned that his recovery from the left hamstring strain, which he aggravated in a Dec. 26 contest, is going much better than the initial hamstring injury. Lin missed 17 games the first time around, and this latest setback has already cost him eight contests, including Thursday. Lin said that if it were his choice, he'd be playing right now, but in reality, he's looking at missing at least another week of action before a potential return. In the meantime, Isaiah Whitehead should continue running as the Nets' starting point guard, though he's been regularly splitting the minutes at the position with Spencer Dinwiddie.
