Warriors' Klay Thompson: Out Tuesday vs. Heat

Thompson will sit out Tuesday's game against the Heat for rest purposes.

Analysis:

With the Warriors taking on a porous Heat squad that's riddled with injuries, coach Steve Kerr determined it was an optimal time to give Thompson some rest. The 26-year-old could certainly benefit from the night off, as he battled an illness last week and his performance seemed to suffer because of it. Patrick McCaw is expected to start at shooting guard in his place Tuesday, but Thompson should be back in the lineup Thursday against the Pistons.
