Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis: Struggles in loss Monday

Porzingis posted nine points (3-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, two blocks and an assist across 24 minutes in Monday's 110-96 loss to the Pelicans.

Analysis:

It was a bad game all around for the Knicks, who were without Derrick Rose due to an unexplained absence before losing Carmelo Anthony and Kyle O'Quinn to ejections in the third quarter. Porzingis didn't avoid the dark cloud hanging over the team either, as Monday's game marked the third time all season that he failed to score at least 10 points. The second-year big man is also slacking on the boards a bit lately, recording only 14 rebounds combined in the last three contests. He'll have a chance to get back on track Wednesday against the Knicks, when he'll take on Joel Embiid in a matchup of two of the game's premier young bigs.
