Watch: Harden feeds Nene who draws key late foul in win over Thunder

USA Today Sports

When you're an MVP-caliber talent like Houston Rockets guard James Harden, sometimes you need to make the plays outside of simply scoring the basketball to help your team close out games.

That's exactly what the four-time All-Star did on Thursday night when the Oklahoma City Thunder visited Toyota Center in a matchup that came right down to the wire.

With 3.8 seconds remaining and Houston in possession of the ball, Harden avoided the Thunder double team and found a wide open Nene Hilario under the basket. The Brazilian big man was fouled on the play, then hit both his free throws to seal a 118-116 Rockets victory.

Harden ended the night with a near triple-double of 26 points, eight rebounds, and 12 assists in 38 minutes of action to lead his squad to its sixth straight win.
